01How do I add a widget?

• iPhone and iPad: touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit or + to add a widget, search for MessageBoard, choose the medium or large size and tap Add Widget.
• Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose your Lock Screen, then tap the widget area and pick a MessageBoard widget.
• Mac: Control-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets, or open Notification Center and click Edit Widgets at the bottom, then search for MessageBoard.
• Apple Vision Pro: open MessageBoard - the board appears as a window you can place and resize in your space.

02How do I change what a widget shows?

Each widget has its own settings. Touch and hold the widget (on a Mac, Control-click it) and choose Edit Widget to pick its categories, how often it changes and its theme. New widgets start with your Default Categories, which you can set in the app.

On Apple Vision Pro, open the board's settings to change its categories, theme and how often it changes.

03How often does the board change?

Every hour, every 4 hours, every 12 hours or once a day - you choose for each widget. Your device decides the exact moment a widget refreshes, so a change can occasionally arrive a little late.

04My widget isn't updating

Check the widget's schedule with Edit Widget. If it still looks stuck, remove the widget and add it again, or restart your device.

05How do I change the language?

MessageBoard follows your device's language when it's one of the six it supports: English, German, French, Spanish (Spain or Mexico) and Portuguese (Brazil). To choose a different one, open the app and change Language.

06How does Daily Message work?

Turn on Daily Message in the app, then pick a time and the categories you'd like, and allow notifications when asked. Once a day, MessageBoard sends you a quote as a notification - use its buttons to save it to your favourites or get another one.

07Does MessageBoard collect my data?

No. There's no account, no analytics and no internet connection, and your favourites and settings stay on your device. See the privacy policy for the details.

08How do I get a refund?

App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

09Can I suggest a quote or report a mistake?

Yes please - a quote you love, a translation that reads oddly or a fact that's wrong. Email support@karanfadnavis.com or use the contact button, and include the quote's text if you can.
