Case study 05 / 05

European Style

Local panel beaters’ websites looked alike. European Style didn’t have one at all. Its first site lets you repaint a car in 3D before you book the job. Since launch, the shop has taken between 56 and 105 WhatsApp enquiries a week.

The challenge

European Style Panel & Paint has repaired and resprayed cars in Ellerslie, Auckland, for more than 15 years. It has a 4.7-star Google rating. Online, it had only a Facebook page and an ageing logo. Competitors’ sites used the same stock photos, service lists and contact forms.

The insight

When every shop looks the same online, customers choose on price or proximity. The quality of the work never gets a say. Local panel beaters all promise a great finish. None of them let you see one. So I set a simple brief. Make this the panel and paint site people remember, and let owner Aleks Baljak’s work speak for itself.

See the paint job before it happens.

The hero puts a real-time 3D car front and centre, lit like a studio shoot. Visitors repaint it in the shop’s colours with a tap. A claim becomes an experience. You watch the car transform the way it would leaving Aleks’s spray booth. It shows the craft and gives people a reason to stay on the page.

Built to win the job.

Below the hero, everything points at one outcome: a quote. Five core services are set out in plain language, from big collision repairs to dent removal. A gallery of real repairs and resprays does the convincing. Next to it sit the shop’s story, its years in business, its ratings and the kinds of cars it handles. The quote form stays short. A direct call or WhatsApp is there for people who would rather talk. That is how most of the shop’s customers get in touch.

The calls that mattered.

  1. 01Pre-built pages, at the shop’s request. The shop didn’t want a content system to manage. So the site is built ahead of time. It loads fast, costs little to host and leaves nothing to maintain.
  2. 02The page waits for the car. A short loading screen holds the page until the 3D car is ready. Nobody’s first impression is an empty stage.
  3. 03Built to be found in local search. Behind the scenes, the site tells search engines what the shop does, how it is rated and reviewed, and which suburbs it serves.

The result.

The shop now has a refreshed logo and its first website. Enquiries arrive steadily, in the channel its customers prefer.
